29 September (Part 2) - Anti-Sensible Behaviour
Last
week I was given a plastic card bearing a QR code. It led to Bexley Council’s
Community Safety page and it allows reporting of Anti-Social Behaviour, I asked
Bexley Council how many reports were made about the drug taking and street
drinking which may be seen in Wilton Road otherwise known as Abbey Wood Village.
I was told that so far this year there had been absolutely none.
This morning I bumped into an old friend who said he was part of a residents’
group which aims to improve the reputation of Wilton Road which he described as
a s***hole while picking up discarded gas canisters.
He said that they frequently report incidents of ASB to Bexley Council but they
are all rejected on the grounds that the group leader lives in Greenwich. The
borough boundary runs along the middle of Wilton Road.
