28 October - Reform UK (Bexley branch) bares its teeth
I would like to think that Councillor Sean Brackstone, the Reform Leader, has
been reading the Index into the activities of Kulvinder Singh who has been
cocking-a-snook at Bexley Council for the past ten years and somehow getting away with it.
He has demolished a protected pub and Bexley Council turned a blind eye. There are
innumerable instances of building without permission and always getting it
retrospectively. Building more flats than his permission allowed and blocking a footpath for the past six years and
again Bexley Council sat on its hands for most of that time. The footpath remains blocked.
He has been criminally prosecuted by H&SE and Bexley Council gave him a Community Award. He is pursued
through the Magistrates’ Court for planning contraventions while Conservative Councillors
visit him at home and have their election nomination papers signed. Mayors queue
up to be photographed alongside his extended family.
It was probably too much to hope that the Singh family’s attacks on those who might
have suspicions about them would be included. I have been attacked three times; once
it was road rage which had me giving a running commentary to the police via 999 while being forced off
the Eastern Way at high speed. The police interviewed them but no action was taken.
More recently they threatened to decapitate me if I persisted in photographing their activities.
The Reform letter asks the Monitoring Officer to investigate the Cabinet Member
for Housing and former Planning Chairman Brian Bishop’s badly timed
involvement in the various planning applications, many retrospective, appeals and eventual capitulations.
The Reform complaint may be
read in full here
and the Index to various dubious activities gets ever bigger.
Probably Bexley Council will try to brush everything under their bulging carpet
but one must hope that the disquiet expressed by their own Councillors will instill some sense into them.
