18 July (Part 1) - BexleyCo is a failure
Bexley’s Labour Group is not beating about the bush with
its latest Press Release.
Bexley Council’s building developer BexleyCo is a failure.
It
has failed to build affordable homes (only 21 so far and none in recent years) and
since its inception in 2017
with the support of the then Labour leader Daniel Francis, it has not
provided a return to the taxpayer. The current Labour Leader Stefano Borella
soon saw through the mistakes and is now kicking at an open door.
“BexleyCo is not working. No affordable housing in West Street, (Erith) and none
on the old Sidcup Library site.”
And a constant drain on the Council’s resources.
