The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.
24 February (Part 1) - Potholes
Potholes
was discussed early on at last night’s Cabinet meeting (report coming soon) and if I went into
full on Daniel Francis mode I would be inundating FixMyStreet
with reports. A new hole appeared at the weekend which is pictured here. The
buses turning into New Road from Woolwich Road are doing what they do best.
(There is a deeper new pothole at the junction of Brampton Road and Longleigh Lane.)
What buses don’t do best is serve the public.
I arrived at the Clock Tower bus
stop at 10:24 this morning to get a 301 towards home. The indicator said
there would be an 18 minute wait but I wasn’t too worried, it lies constantly.
However after 15 minutes the next 301 had regressed to 23 minutes. It was 10:48
before it got back to an indicated 18 minutes again.
A 301 eventually showed up at 10:54.
The lady sitting next to me wanted a 401 and when she first
asked me in very hesitant English when the next one was due it was a two
minute wait. It was nearly 20 minutes before a 401 showed up. Transport for London is utterly useless.
Note: 24th February is the day the Bonkers SSL certificate is supposed to renew automatically but it never does. Now I have to go through the rigmarole all over again.
Few browsers will allow you to see it without a certificate but if you do this note explains why it was such a hassle.
