3 April (Part 4) - Getting the needle
On 18th March Bexley’s
Director of Public Health assured us all that second
Covid doses were reserved for those who had been given their first, a welcome reassurance to us all.
On 23rd March my bubble friend received a text message to say that “changed guidance” was going to cause a
week’s delay to her second jab and she was subsequently given a new date; 11:15 this morning.
She
dutifully drove to the appointed vaccination centre only to be told that
they hadn’t any vaccine to give her. Try again next Wednesday they said.
It may of course be nothing worse than a delivery failure, but two in a row?
Maybe the vaccination programme is not quite as brilliant as Boris makes out.
Note: Pfizer and Bromley.
