29 April (Part 2) - Teresa Pearce first off the starting block. Tory heads still on one
The first election blood in this neck of the woods goes to Labour’s Teresa
Pearce. I was out when her card arrived; too many sick friends unfortunately. Whipps Cross on Thursday, Queen Elizabeth Hospital today.
One reason Teresa has a head start is that as far as I know, no other party has
chosen a candidate. The Tories are still playing silly buggers with Anna Firth.
Should she or should she not be struck off their list because of her enthusiasm
for Brexit? Anna must be an ideal candidate for a Brexit voting area but the Erith &
Thamesmead Conservatives are still squabbling with Central Office. Or rather
vice-versa! They deserve to be rejected again.
