24 April - Councillor Craske conquers Cryptosporidium. Contracting Conway
Two
weeks on from the start of work on constructing
Councillor Craske’s Beach in Belvedere there
is just a little progress to be seen. The base of the old Splashpark is pretty
well destroyed and the last remnants of the children’s play things are piled in a sad heap.
As with Crossrail recently, the views are uninspiring. The site is locked and surrounded
by a hedge, the views are mainly blocked by trees or by Conway’s Portacabin.
With luck it will be nice when it is done but a brief conversation with a local
resident suggested that Bexley Council will not be easily forgiven for the
destruction of the 100 year old water park tradition. Nor should it be.
