10 June (Part 2) - Why are we waiting?
I phoned 020 8303 7777 at 09:48 this morning
to sign up for the bin tax.
At 10:08 I gave up having listened to quite enough excruciatingly
over-modulated
music and coming to the belief that something must have gone wrong with Bexley’s
phone system. I tried again and was answered at 10:27.
Apart from the fact that I was told that I had already signed up - same name,
different address - everything went smoothly enough. I think the man who took my
call was relieved that I didn’t want either an explanation or to make a
complaint about the imposition of charges.
