11 February (Part 1) - Bexley’s Head of Legal supports lies
Mick
Barnbrook, prospective Independent
candidate for Blackfen and Lamorbey in May 2014 put up this Tweet
late yesterday. He didn’t tell me why but I think I can guess.
He has received a letter from Mr. Akin Alabi, Bexley’s head of Legal Services in support of
Cheryl Bacon.
It says the police have confirmed they were accompanied by council staff when they spoke to five members of the public in the council chamber
on
19th June 2013, which is a lie, and they asked them to leave which is another lie.
The truth is that the police said they knew what Bexley council was like because they read
Bexley is Bonkers and asked what we proposed to do and I said we were going home.
My guess is that Mick will FOI the police for a copy of their statement, that
the police will refuse it saying it is not in the public interest (to confirm
that Bexley council lies constantly) and that sooner or later Chief Superintendent Peter Ayling’s
name will join those of his illustrious predecessors on the desk of the Commissioner accused of Misconduct in Public Office.
Whilst Akin’s letter is a long one it is summed up by the penultimate paragraph.
Why
wouldn’t a legal officer want to “interview any other person”. Pretty obvious I would have thought. He doesn’t want to know the truth.
I know that honest councillors would be happy to tell Alabi the truth because they have both
written to me and told me face to face. Mr. Akin Alabi is behaving like a man intent on
pursuing a crooked path rather than one whose job it is to set high standards. And since she has
not resigned over her name being associated with yet more Bexley council lies I think it is
safe to say that Ms. Rebecca Sandhu is not an Independent Person but has
fallen in with Bexley council’s lying ways as if she was born to it.
Thanks Mr. Alabi. More ammo for the Local Government Ombudsman.
