2 March (Part 2) - Selling off the family silver
Whilst
in Old Manor Way last Saturday I noticed a derelict piece of land opposite the
playground. The local residents said it used to be a tennis court but fell into
disuse about 20 years ago.
A planning application (07/11240/OUT) was put in in 2007 for four
houses but it was withdrawn by the proposer before being considered. The
proposer was Bexley council.
Bexley council claims ownership of this plot, it is one of those listed for sale in the original sell off proposals. See
